about

Please note the the following items will tell you approximately nothing about me.

Who: Mrs. Philirao
Why: Because that's better than my actual hyphenated name.
Where: New York, NY
What: A to-do list, that, when accomplished, will plant my feet in the right life direction.

A dozen things I like:
  1. Shoes that make noise.
  2. A well-constructed sentence.
  3. Lists.
  4. Vegetables.
  5. Spreadsheets. You can do anything with a spreadsheet.
  6. The late novels of Thomas Hardy.
  7. Sleeping.
  8. Dancing. Specifically in my living room.
  9. Orange juice.
  10. Public transit.
  11. Tights.
  12. Being tall.
A dozen things I do not like:
    1. Invasions of personal space.
    2. Invasive, distracting noise.
    3. Fluorescent light.
    4. Esoteric literary criticism.
    5. Water. (I know. It's a problem. I'm working on it.)
    6. Staple removers.
    7. Mint and chocolate together.
    8. Politics in general.
    9. Shopping for pants, skirts, dresses, and/or anything that has to reach a certain point on my lower half.
    10. Extreme temperatures.
    11. Itchy sweaters.
    12. Being tall.
    A dozen things I want:
    1. A really organized apartment filled with only things that either a.) mean something to my husband and me, b.) are used frequently, c.) are fun to look at.
    2. A stylish, timeless wardrobe filled with quality pieces that suit many purposes and fit me really well.
    3. A signature look.
    4. A way to translate my personal passion--disability studies--into a career path. Hopefully combining it with my event planning and administrative skills.
    5. To do laundry on a regular basis.
    6. To publish something more notable than blog posts. Either a novel or memoir, or an article in a scholarly journal. I'm not picky.
    7. The perfect handbag.
    8. To fully enjoy cohabitating with my husband for an indefinite (and let's hope unending) period of time.
    9. To master a second language.
    10. To drink more water. (See, I said I was working on it.)
    11. To bring my lunch to work more often than not.
    12. To successfully post in this blog on a regular basis. And to make progress on the ill-defined project it represents.
